Non Resident Indians

Non-Resident Indian (NRIHindiप्रवासी भारतीय Pravāsī Bhāratīya) is an Indian citizen who has migrated to another country, a person of Indian origin who is born outside India, or a person of Indian origin who resides permanently outside India. Other terms with the same meaning are overseas Indian and expatriate Indian. In common usage, this often includes Indian-born individuals (and also people of other nations with Indian ancestry) who have taken the citizenship of other countries.

While staying away and working hard abroad, NRI community shows keen interest in developments that are happening in India, like annual budgets and electoral processes apart from making investments, seeking admissions to schools and colleges for children while planning to come back to their home land. It's not surprising that in the recent past there has been massive exodus back to India owing to unrest in the middle east and economic melt down across the globe. This process is likely to intensify in future as India is poised to become an economic super power. This has resulted in the need for providing proper information for Indians staying abroad to guide them towards making better decisions on various subjects like bank accounts, repatriation, taxation, child education, employment opportunities, investments, pension and insurance plans etc.
